Governor Greg Abbott Endorses Wayne Christian

Today, Governor Greg Abbott endorsed Wayne Christian for Texas Railroad Commissioner.

“I am proud to endorse Wayne Christian for Texas Railroad Commissioner," said Governor Abbott. "Wayne has a proven record of fighting against the frivolous taxes and regulations that hinder job growth and harm our economy. In the Railroad Commission, Wayne will continue to fight for domestic production that both creates jobs and reduces our reliance on nations abroad."

"I am honored to have the endorsement of Governor Greg Abbott," said Christian. "Governor Abbott has led the charge to ensure Texans live in a state that encourages job creation and empowers individuals to succeed. Throughout his tenure, Abbott has led the fight against federal overreach, including the out-of-control EPA. I look forward to working closely with him in the years to come to ensure Texans are protected and our energy industry continues to prosper."

Last May, Christian won the runoff in the race for the Republican Nomination for Texas Railroad Commissioner.  Governor Abbott joins Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick, Comptroller Glenn Hegar, and conservative elected officials and leaders from across the state in endorsing Christian. Additionally, Christian has received the endorsement of prominent organizations including the Texas Oil and Gas Association's Good Government Fund, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Texas Right to Life PAC, Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC, Young Conservatives of Texas and Concerned Women for America LAC.
