ABOUT WAYNE: Wayne Christian is a former legislator and businessman from East Texas. In the Texas House, former Speaker Tom Craddick (R - Midland) appointed Wayne to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Regulated Industries Committee. He additionally served on the Energy Resource Committee under Chairman Ron Lewis. Wayne is the only candidate in this race with experience in doing what the railroad commission actually does — create an environment that protects our communities while promoting responsible oil and gas production. In the Railroad Commission, his priorities will be to provide consistent, predictable, and science-based leadership and to leverage his legislative experience to settle the Sunset Process.
